About

Southwind Fields was born out of a calling to serve the “In-betweeners”—those adults with differing abilities who are too independent for group homes but still need support to thrive in the community. Seeing these individuals fall through gaps in state services, we stepped in as a family-style, faith-driven solution. Founded in 2017, we provide bespoke support—personalized services, community involvement, and a vision for the future—to ensure no one is left behind. From supportive independence in partnered apartments to our dream of a tiny home community, we are building a place where our locals find belonging, purpose, and the support to live fully. At Southwind Fields, we stand in that in-between space—because everyone deserves a place to belong.

Southwind Fields is a family-style nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating independence, belonging, and purpose for adults with differing abilities. We believe every person deserves to live a life they love.

Through bespoke support services, life-enriching experiences, the our wellness collective, agricultural programming, spiritual development, and community engagement, we walk alongside each individual and their family to create personalized pathways toward greater independence and fulfillment.

At Southwind Fields, people aren't numbers, clients, or case files. They're family, LOCAL to their community like anyone else. Every program is thoughtfully designed to foster connection, celebrate individual strengths, and create spaces where people can grow in confidence, discover purpose, and experience the abundant life they were created for.
